چکیده
• A constitutive model for interface elements is developed use in masonry micromodelling. Model based on total deformation theory, considering failure tension, compression and shear. Failure tension shear are coupled through a damage parameter. The sub-stepping algorithm (instead of mapping-back) ensures efficiency robustness. Good agreement hysteretic behavior crack pattern between numerical experimental results. This paper proposes sub-step iterative line used to analyse structures loaded in-plane. Based the adopts characteristics multi-surface plasticity, including Coulomb friction surface shear, with cut-off softening all three domains. driven by two parameters, one that couples technique demonstrated be numerically stable as an alternative traditional return-mapping algorithms, which prone convergence issues instability. proposed has been validated against tests performed walls subjected cyclic, in-plane loading. simulations adequately identify mode, behaviour pattern. When toe crushing governing, results appear sensitive assumed compressive strength. It shown calibration lumped strength makes possible fully describe evolution exhibit mix flexural crack-crush failure. Overall, efficient robust tool analysing walls.

In this paper, an elastoplastic constitutive model is presented for predicting sandy soil behavior under monotonic and cyclic loadings. The model is based on the CJS3 model that takes into account deviatoric and isotropic mechanisms of plasticity. متن کاملA constitutive model for unsaturated cemented soils under cyclic loading
On the basis of plastic bounding surface model, the damage theory for structured soils and unsaturated soil mechanics, an elastoplastic model for unsaturated loessic soils under cyclic loading has been elaborated. Firstly, the description of bond degradation in a damage framework is given, linking the damage of soil’s structure to the accumulated strain. The Barcelona Basic Model (BBM) was cons...
متن کاملA fiber-reinforced Transversely Isotropic Constitutive Model for Liver Tissue
Biomechanical properties of soft tissue, such as liver, are important in modeling computer aided surgical procedures. Experimental evidences show that liver tissue is transversely isotropic. In this article, considering the liver tissue as an incompressible fiber-reinforced composite with one family of fibers, an exponential strain energy function (SEF) is proposed. The proposed SEF is based on...
متن کاملCracking Elements Method for Simulating Complex Crack Growth
The cracking elements method (CEM) is a novel numerical approach for simulating fracture of quasi-brittle materials. This method is built in the framework of conventional finite element method (FEM) based on standard Galerkin approximation, which models the cracks with disconnected cracking segments. The orientation of propagating cracks is determined by local criteria and no explicit or implic...
